ADA Policy & Compliance

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 ensures that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else. Fulton County Transit Authority is dedicated to providing full access to all our services, ensuring that nobody is excluded from our transportation network due to a disability.

Paratransit Services

Our paratransit service provides origin-to-destination transportation for individuals who, because of a disability, are unable to use the regular fixed-route system. This service operates during the same hours and in the same areas as our standard transit operations, ensuring comparable lead times and service quality for all eligible riders.

Rider Responsibilities

To provide safe and efficient service, we ask that riders schedule trips in advance, be ready at the designated pickup time, and notify us of any specific equipment or assistance needs (such as mobility device dimensions). Safety is our priority, and following these guidelines helps us serve you better.

Safety & Compliance Standards

FCTA vehicles are equipped with accessible features including ramps or lifts and securement systems. Our drivers receive extensive training in passenger assistance techniques and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all. We continuously monitor our compliance with federal and state accessibility regulations.

Paratransit Services

FCTA offers specialized paratransit services for individuals who, because of a disability, are unable to use our regular fixed-route transit system. Our curb-to-curb service ensures that all members of our community have access to essential transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and social activities.
