TTY Kentucky Relay Services assists individuals across Kentucky who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have speech difficulties in communicating by telephone.

Dial 711 for TTY Kentucky Relay Services

TTY Users

For users with a Text Telephone (TTY) device.

VCO Users

Voice Carry-Over for users who prefer to speak.

Voice Users

For standard telephone users calling a TTY user.

Uniphone Users

Integrated phone and TTY functionality.

Steps for a Relay Call

  1. Connect: The Assistant (CA) calls your number.
  2. Communicate: Type your message, ending with "GA" (Go Ahead).
  3. Relay: The CA reads your message to the caller.
  4. Respond: The other person speaks, and the CA types their response back to you.
  5. End: When finished, type "SK" (Stop Keying).

Call Etiquette

"GA" (Go Ahead): Signal it is the other person's turn to respond.

"SK" (Stop Keying): Signal the end of the conversation.

Language assistance is available at no cost to all users.
