Rider Rules & Code of Conduct

By riding Fulton Transit Authority services, passengers agree to follow these rules to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all riders and staff.

Rider Expectations

Be Respectful
  • Use polite language.
  • Respect personal space.
  • Keep voices at a conversational level.
Be Safe
  • Wait for the vehicle to stop completely.
  • Fasten seatbelts at all times.
  • Don't distract the driver.
Be Ready
  • Be ready 15 minutes before pickup.
  • Have your fare or pass ready.
  • Board and exit quickly.
Be Responsible
  • Dispose of trash properly.
  • Keep aisles clear.
  • Follow all staff instructions.

Prohibited Conduct

Disruptive Behavior

Any behavior that interferes with the safe operation of the vehicle or disturbs other passengers.

Alcohol & Drugs

Consumption or possession of open containers is strictly forbidden on all transit properties.

Weapons

Possession of firearms or other dangerous weapons is prohibited on vehicles and transit grounds.

Damaging Property

Vandalism or intentional destruction of transit vehicles or property is strictly prohibited.

Unsafe Actions

Smoking, vaping, or throwing objects from the vehicle is prohibited at all times.

Excessive Noise

Operating audio devices without headphones or engaging in loud conversations is prohibited.

Service Policies

No-Show Policy

Riders who miss three scheduled pickups within a 30-day period may face a temporary suspension.

Personal Belongings

Riders are limited to hand-carried packages and must keep them secured and out of aisles.

Service Animals

Properly restrained service animals are welcome. Pets must be in an approved carrier.

Children

Children must be supervised. Age-appropriate restraint systems are available upon request.
